Pediatric Cardiology

Diagnosing and treating congenital and acquired heart conditions in children and adolescents

With a family-centered care philosophy, DMG Children’s Rehabilitative Services’ (DMG CRS) pediatric cardiology specialists diagnose and treat children with conditions of the heart and blood vessels. Our highly experienced pediatric cardiology team includes Board Certified, fellowship-trained physicians who treat newborns through young adults with congenital heart conditions and acquired heart disease.

Our pediatric cardiology physicians specialize in:

  • Fetal heart defects

Diagnosis and management of pregnancies at risk for fetal heart defects and rhythm disturbances

  • Electrophysiology

Diagnosis and treatment of heart rhythm disturbances and inherited arrhythmias through medications and catheter ablation, and medical devices (pacemakers, defibrillators, and loop recorders)

  • Cardiac catheter interventions

Enlarging narrowed blood vessels with a balloon or stent; opening a closed or narrowed heart valve; plugging abnormal blood vessels; creating or closing holes within the heart; and replacing heart valves

Our goal is to partner with you to create a treatment plan to help your child live as full and active a life as possible. We will help you understand your child’s diagnosis and provide resources and education to support your family in supporting the at-home plan needed for nutrition, activity, and lifestyle to optimize your child’s cardiac health.
