Personal History and Interests

Dr. Naftaly Attias received his Doctor of Medicine license from Ben Gurion University of the Negev in Beer-Sheva, Israel and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Kaplan Hospital in Rehovot, Israel. He finished an orthopedic trauma fellowship and a spine fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX and a second spine fellowship in Phoenix at Maricopa Medical Center, now Valleywise Health. In 2005, Dr. Attias became Valleywise Health's Chief of Orthopedic Trauma Services and Vice Chairman of the Orthopedic Surgery Department. And in 2016 he became Valleywise Health's Orthopedics Department Chairman. Dr. Attias specializes in spine surgery and orthopedic trauma surgery and has authored multiple research articles on those subjects. In his spare time he loves to travel and hike.
