DMG Children’s Rehabilitative Service’s Occupational Therapists are trained in the practice of assessing and refining eye-hand coordination, fine motor skills, and other functional skills including dressing, grooming, feeding, and writing. Treatments methods are designed to help patients and their families achieve maximum independence and quality of life.
Our Occupational Therapists will also consider necessary requirements for adaptive equipment and follow through with recommendations, referrals and support in this area. They are trained to fit and constructs hand, finger, and wrist splints as necessary to improve mobility and function.
Our team is widely recognized in the field as experts in administering to such conditions in children as Spina Bifida, Muscular Dystrophy, Cerebral Palsy and other Autism Spectrum and Neuromuscular disorders.
